The Shinzan Swamp was formed during the time of Mount Showa-Shinzan's birth. The newly emerging mountain pushed the small creek further away, which caused the water to be naturally dammed into the swamp's present shape. You can relax at the water, and also observe all sorts of birds that are migrating during the season ranging from spring to autumn. Also a great spot for the changing leaves in autumn.
