Have you ever heard of sports Yukigassen? It's professional snowball fighting, and Sobetsu is the cradle of this sports hosting the annual world championships at the foot of Mount Showa-Shinzan! The annual championships are held every February, it's a free event for visitors, so everyone is welcome to check it out.
